’Processed Beats’ is a rant at the world we find ourselves in. we’re all fucked so we may as well get down before the end. – Sergio
The single follows their recent UK No. 4 Album and Top 10 Single, and Japanese International Chart No.1 Single and No.5 Album. Kasabian were one of the big hits of the festival season, rocking Glastonbury, V2004, T-in-the-Park, and Reading/Leeds. They also headlined the Love Music Hate Racism festival in Stoke.
The band head out on a short UK tour in October:

The band will be spending most of October touring Europe, and return to Japan in November to do a tour of 1600 capacity venues – with Tokyo selling out in hours, a second date there has already been added. Japan shipped 30,000 albums in advance.
The self-titled debut album came out on 6th September through RCA on CD, limited DVD+, and limited 10″ vinyl. It reached No.4 and went Gold within a week (100,000). It features their recent Top 10 hit L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever), their Top 20 hit Club Foot and new versions of limited edition predecessors (the afore-mentioned Processed Beats and Reason Is Treason – the latter in particular being a radical reworking).
At the request of their beloved Leicester City, the band recently took to the pitch for charity during half time at the Leicester v Brighton game. The challenge was to hit the bar (on-pitch not in corporate box…), with proceeds going towards Birch’s Charity, which was set up by Leicester City legend Alan Birchenall. Sergio and Karloff were on the books of Notts Forest and Aston Villa respectively as teenagers but gave it up for rock’n’roll; it was Chris Edwards who put in the best performance though, striking wood twice. Also, note that Sergio always wore LCFC socks underneath his Forest kit when playing for them…
