Kasabian have begun teasing a brand new song as part of their latest pre-save campaign.

Through their mailing list, the band shared this link this morning. Upon signing up for pre-save, a 34 second clip of a new track is played.

This clip features a guitar-driven, indie-leaning sound, with the lyrics:

“Steady as she goes
It’s me again, hello
I can’t stop the voices
Now it’s you and me
And I am lost for words
I just keep on falling”

Despite not being officially confirmed, the preview file name suggests the track may be called Great Pretender. Alternative names linked to the accompanying artwork include Mind Palace and Realm Industries, leaving the final title unclear for now.

The track will be released on 2 April, just two days before Kasabian appear on Saturday Night Live UK on 4 April.

With the band scheduled to perform on the show, it is looking increasingly likely that we could see the live debut of both Hippie Sunshine and this new track.

This marks the first Kasabian new song teaser since Hippie Sunshine back in September, signalling that the next phase of the band’s rollout is now underway.
