Wait For You Now was recorded as a full-band track during Saracuse’s final session at Bedrock Studios on 21 September 2000.

In Sound, Movement and Empire, Joe Shooman describes the recording as confident and catchy. It was made during a period in which Saracuse were rehearsing as often as four times a week and had developed into a particularly tight group.

The history of the song is unclear. During an earlier 1999 session, Saracuse recorded an acoustic song identified as Waiting For You Now. Shooman subsequently describes You Won’t Forget Me as the full-band version of that earlier recording. A track titled Wait For You Now was then recorded during the September 2000 session.

The exact relationship between these recordings is therefore uncertain.
