Info:

The Federation was recorded as an acoustic demo during Saracuse’s third studio session at Bedrock Studios in Leicester in 1999.

The track develops a recurring theme in Saracuse’s early songwriting of friendship and solidarity against the outside world. In Sound, Movement and Empire, Joe Shooman describes its lyrics as involving a struggle against shadowy outside forces while holding onto the hope that friendship will ultimately carry those involved home.

The Federation was one of several acoustic recordings from the session which captured Serge Pizzorno developing songs and ideas.

No recording of the track is known to have surfaced.
